Gameplay from rare unreleased prototype of Bugs Bunny on Atari 2600
Gameplay from a rare unreleased prototype of Bugs Bunny on the Atari 2600.
According to the story, Atari was considering releasing either Bugs Bunny or Snoopy and the Red Baron and after play testing both they decided to shelve Bugs and go with Snoopy. As a result this game was never released commercially nor fully completed. (This is the version I’m playing in this video.)
In the late 90s, it’s original programmer (Bob Polaro) set about finishing the game, adding a few additional gameplay elements, as well as a two player mode. This “finished” version was to be released at Philly Classic 3 expo and handed out by Polaro at the Atari2600.com booth.
If I ever get a copy of the updated game I’ll post gameplay and update this description accordingly.
