GamersNexus vs. Post Office Benchmarks, ft. Modmat
We test the $400 Bostitch P51-10B vs. tape in our GN vs. USPS benchmarks for shipping the Modmats. Back-order the GN Modmats here! https://store.gamersnexus.net/products/modmat Next round should be shipping end of May, we think. Very latest will be first week of June, but we're pushing for end of May.
We actually had a single tube show up to a customer empty (of course, we replaced it immediately). To ensure this doesn't happen again, and to reduce risk of lost ESD items during shipping, we're upping our arsenal against the mail carriers. It's small logistical things like this that we're still learning, but having fun with. We basically applied very loose, imperfect testing methodology to various shipping methods in order to optimize our process for time and strength/quality. The shipping experience is important to us to get right, hence doing some in-house testing on it.
Also, that Bostitch P51-10B was a lot of fun to use with the air compressor. [Spoiler] It's a shame that it won't realistically do what we need when considering the performance of 4x pieces of tape, but we do really like the tool.
