83It's been a while but it's time for a new warband!
An interesting assortment of fighters all assembled to pay glory to their Everchosen, we get a bunch of gladiator types ready to throw down at the all points. Fair enough.
To me what was one of the drabbest looking sets of fighters shown so far has really started to grow on me. They may not have the flash of the Cypher Lords, the primal look of the Untamed Beasts, or the grisliness of the Unmade, but their stripped down and bare look totally works. These guys aren't about flash. They're much more about function.
Some of the models felt a bit flat to me. Mostly just the larger guys on the bigger bases.
I do appreciate having a dwarf and beastman in there. They chaos gods are equal opportunity employers when it comes to the spilling of mortal blood after all!
I like that these guys could totally hang with good old fashioned marauders or mix in with just about any other evil warrior types. There's no excessive iconography on them. They keep it simple and get to the point- to crush their enemies, see them driven before them, and hear the lamentations of their women!
