Gardening Is So True To Life: The Counterfeits Are Often Hidden In Plain Sight - Part 2
2It is so true! This will part of an ongoing series of gardening videos and tidbits. Just like with maintaining one’s lawn or backyard, our own individual lives need to be self-inspected from time to time for “invaders” whether literally or figuratively. Gardening can be very practical and therapeutic, as well as personified. How can we tell the real viable grass from the invasive pretenders? Was this what Jesus spoke of in the parables of the wheat and the tares? In a literal sense, we need to slow down, take a moment and get down low, and inspect the grass and surroundings of our daily lives. In a figurative and spiritual sense, we need to “know ourselves” as God requires. We need to consider if our thoughts, motives, desires, passions, beliefs, and actions etc are right in the sight of God. Have we been invaded by unclean spirits and ambitions? Have we gotten accustomed to sin and vice? Do we have seared consciences so that we no longer can differentiate between right and wrong? We need to take this quiz daily, even while supposedly doing something as commonplace as lawncare. What else should we keep
