This match was during the first day of the new series battles during the 300 cost Rise from the Ashes room.
The Zaku II is a general suit that comes in at 100 cost and is normally a pretty awful pick however the 300 cost Lv 5 version has a few things going for it.
The first of which is at 300 cost it has quite a lot of health and parts can increase that to a bit of a ridiculous degree making it one of the suits with a ton of raw bulk though it's mediocre defences and lack of any defensive skill mean that carless play will get punished hard as you have no way to recover from getting caught out.
It's other major advantage is the fact it gets to use high level weapons and even basic weaponry can do some nasty damage at Lv5 and in the case of the Zaku Bazooka that already has good range for a bazooka is able to catch people who would normally be safe from a bazooka shell and might have the longest reach of any instant stun weapon for a general at this cost.
The Heat hawk is far more useful on the Lv5 as it gets balancers which despite it's still awful mobility at least allow it to follow up it's stuns at distances greater than point blank as well as a couple of other options that require balancers.
While far from the best suit in the 300 cost range the Zaku II Lv5 has enough bulk to endure hits that could cripple your frailer allies which at least gives a reason to use it in spite of it's almost lethargic movement and basic equipment.
