Gears 5 Daily BM Horde Challenge | Use On The Flank When The Heads Up Modifier is Active
8This video is from a game I played when the Daily Horde Challenge had the "Heads Up" Modifier active on it. Heads Up is also a Modifier on the Escape Map Lethal Engagements and works the same way in Horde and Escape. This game was done with a randoms from a lobby I joined from the Lobby Browser.
On The Flank counter-acts the effects of Heads Up. Basically what you can do as Blademaster is cause bleed on an enemy and either get behind that enemy or run away from it and they will take full bleed damage. When you dont have On The Flank on your bleed damage is pitiful but if you do have the card on and know how to use it effectively you will get full bleed damage as if you were in a normal horde match.
A few things to note about On The Flank though:
-This trick is kinda wonky so to get the full effect you usually have to stay on the same plane as the enemy you're damaging. So if an enemy is slightly above or below you, this trick most likely wont work.
- You need a Ballistic Weapon in your hand for this trick to work. In the video, i was swinging at a Warden with a mace and completely forgot to switch do my other gun. What I should have done was get right next to the Warden hit him with the Mace Light Attack and then switch me gun and stay next to him to get bleed damage.
-This does work on every enemy just as long as you can get behind them while they are bleeding. I wouldn't necessarily rely on this trick but it does absolutely work if you know what you're doing. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/relaxing_koty
