So this was a free "game" on Steam, if you can call it that, so I got tempted to see what it is and I downloaded it and I got to playing it recently.

But what it essential is, is a big promotional "exposition" of future games to come within a shell of a game. You start off outside and make your way into an empty mall of sorts which feature different attractions in nicely designed sets/ exhibition booths. The attractions are what I previously said - featured upcoming games.

To be honest the games featured here I did not like at all. With the exception of Serious Sam 4 and Shadow Warrior 3 which them too are heading into a direction I don't like. For example too much flash and not much substance. Although the graphical enhancements with modern computing are nice, I felt everything else was cheesy and too arcady..if you are a long time player of the older games you can see what I mean. *Blam *blam run shoot jump and the same thing all over again.

The other games are even more terrible I think lol. I watched all the promotional videos and I am tempted to play none of them. They are low graphically detailed (is everybody too lazy to render things in detail and put effort in like in the 90s and 2000s games??) and the game play elements are nothing new that can't be found in better, other or older games. I'm not sure if these are to be budget games or not but for a veteran like me (or maybe others who have been playing since the early 90s) they were a total belly flop and not interesting/ appealing at all. Perhaps they can appeal to people that never played any types of games before.. but even some Super Nintendo games from the 90s had more detail and better gameplay from what I've seen here. Anyway I'm not here to talk about the trailers but this game instead. So maybe those games can be good and liked for some that are beginners to gaming and want to get into them perhaps, but not me sorry. I am not liking in what direction gaming is going (this very simplistic flashy crap with no substance) so perhaps after I finish playing all the older games I may stop or just play a more select few (if I'll be able to find them that is lol we'll see). I'm just losing interest in the current trend of gaming. And it's not me, it's the games lol. Because I still like the older ones which offer much more depth.

What I really liked about this game was it's secluded atmosphere and the feeling that you have the place all to yourself to explore privately - the place being the aforementioned mall that is. It is very nice to poke around the mall and look at different props, game booths, scenery and such. The action element consists of you running away from patrol bots or incapacitating them with a t-shirt grenade launcher and at the end of this game even having a fight with a grand retro-style boss.

There was another thing I liked in this game where you come across 2 people singing a rock song, a man and a woman. They are quite good and it felt a little bit as if attending a live concert. It was a neat touch to add to the game here.

One very bad thing about this game is that again, like the previous game I played, DOOMED, you are not able to change your key button configuration and are stuck with the WASD to move, M1 for shoot and SPACEBAR to jump keys. Although I was able to adapt pretty quickly this time, this may cause (me included) some major unintended mishaps while playing lol.

The graphics here are nothing special but serviceable with a medium-high amount of detail.

Hmm.. I think that's about it with what I have to say for this game. You can try it out yourself or if you don't feel like playing it you can always watch me play it here more slowly and looking at everything I come across like I always do ;p
