Description:
Zosma is an unsuccessful treasure hunter who accidentally falls into the lower levels of the Crescent Moon Tower. He's now trapped in unexplored territory, but at the same time, this means he can loot the place before his rival hunters can. Along the way, he teams up with a cat slime and a mysterious masked mage in order to climb the tower and find a way out.

The team runs into twin fairies that like to pull pranks. They start by blocking off certain paths with cracked blocks, which means we need to find some way to break them.
You'll find stone monuments that explains the fairies' backstory. They literally maintain their existence by pulling pranks, but they do bestow blessings upon humanity.
Turns out that Pikari can run into enemies in slime only sections, but touching an enemy causes them to get sent to the start of that section. You keep any treasure and puzzle progress though.
You'll find an empty chest at the dead end, and the fairies activate a trap door that sends Zosma to a lower floor. Pikari jumps in after him.
Zosma is initially mean to Pikari out of frustration for being trapped, but realizes that it's not fair to Pikari. He also talks about his sister, Deneb, who is one of the greatest Astra Hunters. However, he can't live up to her legacy.
The two devise a team strategy of using the new special tile to have Zosma ride Pikari, which allows them to break the cracked blocks. This is what the fairies want, since this whole thing is meant to teach us teamwork.
While in riding mode, you cannot use jump tiles or use the save point. You can still fight enemies though.
The next bit of lore reveals that humans developed technology and no longer needed the fairies, eventually forgetting about them.

Pikari eats another piece of treasure, which causes a flashback where Zosma's sister Deneb expects great things from him as an Astra Hunter. Is she going to be a boss?
The fairy twins state that Penumbra wants them to test the party.
25:47 Boss: Waxing and Waning (Hard)
The barrier mechanic still exists somewhat, only it requires you to perform specific action(s) instead of a type. Also, the barrier applies to the whole enemies party, as well as breaking it. These two don't have Astra Skills for their team attacks. Instead, they use the old school conjuring mechanic to apply elements to their attacks. However, they do have individual self-buffs when hitting HP thresholds, so you should try to focus on one at a time.

Why does this boss have Absolution's mask? Is Absolution going to be the main antagonist of the entire Torchverse?
They can use the barrier mechanic that the fairies had and they are weak to ice.

Clearing Io early nets a good equipment set for Pikari. And if you collected all treasures and gems up to this point, you get better gear for Zosma too.
