Agent of Providence brings the Generator Rex universe to the handheld with 2D action. You control Rex in linear missions, using his EVO weapons to defeat enemies. The graphics are decent for the DS, with well-animated sprites and varied scenarios. The gameplay is simple: run, hit, use special abilities and repeat. The combat is repetitive, but improves as new powers are unlocked. The story follows the vibe of the cartoon well, with quick scenes between stages. The difficulty is low, ideal for younger fans of the series. Little use of the touch screen, which is a waste for the DS. The soundtrack and sounds are average, without much to offer. Quick and direct entertainment — nothing remarkable, but entertaining for those who enjoy the cartoon.
