I was struggling for a while to drum up some inspiration for a new song, and while in the throes of that sort of indecision, I received a message from a very close friend of mine that sort of sparked some ideas, which I ended up running with. That message was a graduation announcement, so the first thought that came to mind was that I'd write her a song as a congratulatory gift, and get her to sing some vocals for me! I dunno if she'd want her name here, but let's just say that I am super proud and happy with what we came up with together, even if it reeks of beginner level vocals work. So yeah, that's what this is: a gift for a friend.
