Geometry Dash has been removed from the google play store, following the enforcement of their new policy, which requires all apps to use their new api - however since robtop has not update the game in several years, the game has been promptly removed for the time being, until he updates to geometry dash 2.2 since he doesn't have the 2.11 code anymore. Apple will soon follow suit with a similar policy change, meaning it will be removed from both mobile platforms. Does this mean we will get 2.2 soon? Who knows! These are my thoughts on the situation, and why you shouldn't be celebrating too early.
