Geometry - Transformations Pt. 1: Translations
#csectutorials #csecrevision #cxcmaths #math #tutorials
Hi everyone, here's the first part of the Transformations question. It focuses on the translation of a quadrilateral in the Cartesian plane. The problem we look at in this video tests our ability to identify types of transformations. To distinguish the various types of transformations, we must be familiar with the properties of the different types of transformations. Can you tell a translation from a reflection?
Do you remember the names used to refer to these transformations?
Today's video focuses on fully describing a translation and also reviews the process of obtaining the translation vector.
Which component goes first in the vector, horizontal or vertical movement? Which is x and y?
Any confusion with translations and translation vectors stops here.
Slide into a better understanding of translations NOW... all you have to do is press play!
