Description:
The United Kingdom of Euchronia is home to many races, but there is discrimination and castes based on both race and wealth, leading to unrest. Worse yet, Count Louis Guiabern assassinated King Hythlodaeus V, starting a competition over the next in line for the throne. The protagonist, an Elda boy, must gather allies for the Resistance and find a way to save the comatose crown prince so that peace can be restored to the realm, but this will be a difficult task due to how his race is at the bottom of the caste.

During the funeral, Louis criticizes the late king for being weak and dumps a massive human corpse near the Grand Cathedral. Then the royal palace flies in via floating continent and forms the king's face. Since there isn't a rightful heir, the king instead used a spell to mentally poll the population, showing who is the most popular in regards to becoming the next ruler. Louis is second to Forden, but closes the gap with a faux populist speech. Grius attempts to assassinate Louis and comes surprisingly close, but the king's magic binds Grius because he's attacking a candidate for the throne. Louis then kills Grius in a slightly anticlimactic way.

Louis's necromancer summons a bunch of skeletons, who are weak to the Healer's light magic. Unfortunately, Strohl starts the battle with the Anxiety ailment, any you may or may not have a way to cure that.
The party and the knight, Hulkenberg, enter the cathedral to evacuate people, but Hulkenberg is separated soon aftewards. The skeleton enemies should be underleveled enough to kill them in field combat, though there is a mandatory squad battle.
At the top, the party reunites with Hulkenberg and tries to enter the Royal Sceptre Chamber, but the bad guys cave in the entrance.

The secret path into the cathedral is blocked by a big crystal. Before we can do anything, Grius shows up as an undead enemy and defeats the party in a cutscene. Hulkenberg almost loses hope because she believes she failed to save the prince, but the party tells her the prince is alive. This gives her the hope she needs to unlock the Knight archetype.

He can use an AOE every turn, but if Hulkenberg uses her aggro skill, Grius's AOE is changed to a single-target skill instead, making it easier to manage. However, chances are that you won't be able to use Hulkenberg's Synthesis Skill and aggro skill in the same turn.

We destroy the crystal, but the party decides to retreat for now.
