Hey everyone! Welcome to my Thaumcraft 3 Video Guide series! In this series I want to walk you guys through the basics of Thaumcraft and then eventually get in to some more complicated stuff!
In this video we go over the basic tools of Thaumcraft such as the Wand of the Apprentice, the Thaumonomicon, the Research Table, the Arcane Worktable, and the Crucible.
The Wand of the Apprentice is our main tool in Thaumcraft in which we actually create items. It uses up magic that is restored by Aura Nodes in the area. There are upgrades to this wand, but we won't get to them until a few more episodes down the road.
The Thaumonomicon is your guide to Thaumcraft. You will be able to see how to craft some of the basic tools of Thaumcraft in it and after you do research, you will be able to see how to craft the items you did the research on. If it's kind of confusing at first, it's okay. It will make much more sense in a few episodes. :)
The Research Table is where we do, well, all of our research in Thaumcraft! I talk about the Research Table more indepth in the next episode so be sure to stay tuned for that!
The Arcane Worktable is one of the crafting tables for Thaumcraft. It is powered by the Wand of the Apprentice and there are certain items that need to be crafted in that Worktable to work.
The Crucible is the last item, and one of the most easy to understand. It's basically a cauldron that we use for Thaumcraft. You throw your ingredients in, right click with the wand, and stuff comes out! haha. Again, it will make sense in future episodes.
Thanks for watching and don't forget to like the video, comment, rate, and subscribe! :)

Thaumcraft is a mod for Minecraft that is based completely around two types of magic. There is Aura, good magic, and Flux, which is bad magic. Whenever you do research and craft items from Thaumcraft, Flux gets released. To get rid of the Flux, you need to have an Aura Node. Aura Nodes cannot be seen regularly. You need the Googles of Revealing to see them, but they also exist in Silverwood Trees. My suggestion is that you start Thaumcraft near a Silverwood Tree so you don't have to worry about Flux at first.
If you get too much Flux in an area it will Spawn Wisps, which can hurt you and destroy some things such as Golems. Overall, Flux is bad. If your Flux levels start to rise maybe take a break from crafting in Thaumcraft and wait for it to go back down.
Thaumcraft is a really fun mod and it's relatively easy to figure out once you get the hand of it. Visit the Feed the Beast Thaumcraft 3 Wiki for more information!
