I want more games like The Exit 8, but Platform 8 slightly misses the mark. Still cool, though.
Recorded live on September 8, 2025.

Game Info:
Platform 8 is a first-person psychological horror walking simulator and the sequel to The Exit 8, developed by Kotake Create. The game is set on a train that never ends, where the player must navigate through unnaturally looping train cars, identifying and solving anomalies to progress toward the eighth station. It was initially released on PC via Steam on May 31, 2024, and later launched on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on November 28, 2024. The game is inspired by Japanese subways, liminal spaces, and the Backrooms, and features a short playtime of approximately 15 to 60 minutes.
Anomalies in the game range from environmental puzzles to terrifying encounters, such as flickering ghosts, a giant humanoid abomination outside the train, and a little girl in pigtails in a hide-and-seek scenario. The game includes anti-frustration features, such as yellow warning signs that appear when an anomaly is present in a car, and some anomalies require specific actions to resolve, like finding a real door in a car with no visible exit. A unique feature is the "Golden Ending," which requires finding every anomaly; upon completion, the player returns to the familiar corridor from The Exit 8, revealing the game to be a prequel.
The game has been released on multiple platforms, including Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, iOS, Android, and Meta Quest. A Nintendo Switch port was announced for November 28, 2024, and the game is available on the Nintendo eShop for $3.19. The PlayStation 5 version supports DualSense controller vibrations and is available for download. The game has received mixed reviews, with some noting its atmospheric charm and others criticizing its low difficulty and short content.
