It's not part of the game yet - but developers have said it is coming! We should be seeing ghosts that are near blow out candles in an upcoming patch. Candles go out now - but it seems somewhat random. While I don't see it happen in the van or far from the ghost's room, I do see it happen on a regular basis inside of houses. But... once in a while. I'll hold a lit candle for the entire time and never have it go out. Maybe some ghosts don't mind the candles? Or maybe it's not consistent? Or maybe it's a sign of the ghost type? Who knows? But what I do know is that an update to phasmophobia is coming where ghost's near the candle will blow it out.
