It's old vs new as the 1995 Ghost in the Shell goes up against the 2017 iteration. The anime is a timeless classic and one of the most recognizable manga-based films around featuring a compelling story, a unique setting and an awesome female lead.

The 2017 version is a lot more beauty over brains, having a more generic, straight-forward sci-fi plot and a controversial white-washed lead. The visuals are stunning though and the action, although sparse is very well shot.
