Blackhawkthunder, TreeBaron, and Popeyearms take a look at the newly released open beta for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex-First Assault Online. Boy, what a mouthful! Could they have possibly made that name any longer?! While this game can be fun at times, it is best played in short spurts. Unfortunately the game needs almost as much work as the name. It isn't a bad game, it's just that net code needs significant improvement, progression is slow quite early on, and it's fairly generic as far as FPS go, with a few exceptions. Being in the beta stage there is significant hope for this game that it can deliver a solid experience. Nevertheless, whether or not First Assault Online can do the anime a justice upon full release, is yet to be seen. At this stage I would recommend passing on it.
