My Ghost of Yotei gameplay reaction is almost enitrely positive, but many are saying this is just "more of the same". I want to talk about why this criticism is empty and fundamentally misunderstands sequels and the differences between Ghost of Yotei vs Ghost of Tsushima. Ghost of Yōtei is an upcoming 2025 action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is a standalone sequel to the 2020 game, Ghost of Tsushima. The game is scheduled to release for the PlayStation 5 on October 2, 2025.
