I made this video to showcase the importance of weapon sound FX and how it improves the feel of the game. I've also included a direct comparison between the PRE-ALPHA gameplay footage from Breakpoint's reveal and Insurgency Sandstorm.

DISCLAIMER: I don't think the Insurgency audio is perfect. I am not claiming it's the holy grail of weapon sound FX. I do feel the sounds from that game fit Breakpoint very well. I had to choose between either Squad or Insurgency and I went with the latter as it's a bit less realistic but more "cinematic" while still staying close to realism. This fits Ghost Recon really well I think.
