Ghostbusters Intro Swap
Not long ago I found cool video showing that the Ghostbusters theme works surprisingly well with the intro of Filmation's Ghostbuster, though the audio and video quality were rather low. I decided to make my own version of this, as well as seeing how well the Filmation Ghostbuster theme goes with the intro of the Real Ghostbusters. I had to do editing on both intros, but overall it is impressive how well the two fit with one another.
History Lesson in Ghosts, Busters, and Men in Funny Suits:
For those who did not go through in the 90's, or just weren't interested in paranormal comedies, there was a smash hit movie called Ghostbusters which starred a ragtag bunch of dudes using high tech gadgets to catch chaotic ghosts. However, long before the movie was filmed there was a different live-action comedy that starred some dudes and a gorilla using high tech gadgets to catch chaotic ghosts that also happened to be called Ghostbusters by complete and freak coincidence, though it was a TV Show instead of a movie.
When the Ghostbusters film was released and was a tremendous hit, Filmation (the rather infamous animation company behind some classics like He-Man) who were as then owners of the original Ghostbusters name decided to release a sequel cartoon to the original live-action show to try and cash in on the huge success of the Ghostbusters movie. In response, Columbia Pictures worked with DiC Entertainment (makers of several cult classic video game cartoons) and made their own animated Ghostbusters cartoon, calling it the REAL Ghostbusters as a jab against Filmation. Whilst both shows had their merits, the Real Ghostbusters was definitely the better of the two, the bigger success, and outlasted it competitor by a long shot (albeit perhaps for TOO long given Slimer and The Ghostbusters became a thing).
