For a considerable length of time I have been without some reliable recording software, as well as a video editor that isn't iMovie on an extremely old mac. The footage I have gotten for some recent videos has been the result of using online converters for Youtube videos. which has proven very efficent but also time consuming and does not allow me to take footage from my own games.
Fortunately I think I may finally be out of this funk thanks to OBS and a free video editor called Kdenlive. As a test I decided to record myself playing one of my all time favorite PC games: Hexen. Not only Hexen, but Hexen with the absolutely fantastic Wrath of Cronos fan mod that adds more to the game from new weapons, classes, and monsters.
Decided to have the music muted so I could add my own just for kicks, though I am considering another "_ with alternate music" series and am looking for a good game to do it with if ya'll have some suggetions. I don't think Hexen may be the best game for it, but I might upload another video of my current playthrough for kicks if this turns out well.
