Enjoyed the UNFOLLOW demo so decided to check out the FOLLOW demo, it's equally bonkers.
In UNFOLLOW we got a lot of craziness but mixed in among it bits of the story of Anne and her abusive mother. In FOLLOW we get a bit of backstory on where it all started seemingly, back at the family home. Back then Anne was just a little girl and Camille (ballerina/nurse girl) was her best friend. Seems that may have gone wrong when Anne for some reason didn't return a beloved book to her. Once again we see Anne's bad experiences scarring her, she got a lovely red dress for Christmas but everyone mocked her in it and her mother was seemingly always a tyrant.
There's some new stuff too though, a more supernatural and fantastical side. It's best demonstrated through "Mini Anne" a tiny doll like figure who comes out of a cupboard and tells us about realms, bifrost etc. o_O Wah?! I mean I guess that explains some things we saw in UNFOLLOW but I honestly have even more questions now. We solve various problems, find a key, scissors, a clock and in doing so piece together events in Anne's past life.. We also suddenly run into the giant snakey head again hah. No idea why but it;s good to see him again! Seems ultimately that Anne got so upset and miserable that she set the Christmas tree on fire with a lighter, possibly triggering some series of awful events with her mother. Wish head was always there to rescue her :(
