If you are struggling with the movement system in the excellent Cadence of Hyrule, then there is a mode that allows you to move around freely, and stops the enemies moving until you do.

This makes the game more like a turn based strategy or if you are familiar with them, Mystery Dungeon games, like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Chocobo Mystery Dungeon.
