Gladiator Guild Manager is a management game currently in Steam Early Access where you take control of a gladiator stable in a high fantasy setting. Permadeath (which is optional to everyone except me) means we won't be getting attached to any of our gladiators, but if you want to name some I will be more than happy to accommodate requests.
The game, as per the Steam description, is a Strategic battle sim in which you buy and train all kinds of gladiators. Expand your guild, build unique teams, plan out fight tactics, and see how far you can take them through the championships. Form allegiances through quests and events while exploring and influencing this epic fantasy world.
Developed by a very small Indie team (I believe it's just 3 people), the game has an active discord community and the devs are very personable and friendly. They clearly put their heart into the game and continue to add new features and modes as they push toward their finished vision of the game and a full release.
There are a lot of interesting decisions to make, party compositions to try, and tournaments to overcome as we make our way through the game! They actually implemented several of my suggestions and I love the game even more, not because I had an impact, but because they took my suggestions and implemented them better than I had imagined.
