Glorious Model O Wireless vs Razer Viper 8K - wireless awesome vs pro level latency?
This is a video to compare the Razer Viper 8K and the Glorious Model O Wireless. This might seem a bit odd, as one is wired and one is wireless, but they're interesting mice for a number of reasons.
Razer Viper 8K: (https://youtu.be/IT0d7u2A96g)
A mouse which Razer claims is eight times faster than other gaming mice thanks to its "true" 8Khz polling rate. This setup apparently gives the mouse a 0.125ms click latency which is significantly lower than the 1ms you'd usually see from mice with 1,000Hz polling rates.
It also has other highlights that I'll cover in this video including:
- 2nd generation Razer Optical Switches
- 8 programmable buttons (16 actions with Razer Hypershift)
- An ambidextrous design
- A lightweight(ish) 71g body
- Speedflex cable
- 20K (DPI) optical sensor
Lowlights to the mouse:
- Those side buttons are far too recessed for my liking
- Only one RGB zone
- Not as light as the competition
- DPI switching only via button underneath
