7The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX is a Game Boy Color rerelease (1998) of the 1993 version that came out on the Game Boy. It features full color graphics, and a brand new secret dungeon. It's a full blown Zelda adventure that takes place some time after the events of A Link to the Past. It also features some very strange themes for a Zelda game, including creatures and characters from other Nintendo games, such as Chain Chomps and Yoshis. Link is shipwrecked and stranded on Koholint Island, and must wake the legendary Wind Fish to escape!
This playthrough will be done with a real Game Boy Color cartridge using the Game Boy Player for the Nintendo GameCube.
