12Big Boo's Haunt: Star #1
You have to defeat all the Boos on the first floor of the mansion to make the Big Boo appear in the lobby, whom upon defeat, gives the star. The locations of the normal Boo are:
#1 & #2: In the 2nd room on the left, face away from the wall with the picture of Boo and they'll come after you. You can alternatively enter directly into the room behind the picture from an outside door on the side of the mansion.
#3: Through the back, left door.
#4: Through the back, right door.
#5: Through either the door near Boo #4 or the door on the right.
