This is a segment to segment speedrun comparison of God Hand in the Hard NG+ KMS category between myself (top-current WR) and CrazyBoy's cheated run (bottom).

"NG+" refers to New Game+ as opposed to New Game. "KMS" refers to the Kick-Me Sign that Olivia places on Gene's back at the beginning of stage 1-2 which remains there for the entirety of the game so long as you don't use the God Hand or any Roulettes.

The bottom run (CrazyBoy) was submitted to the leaderboard as a legitimate single segment run but under even the smallest amount of scrutiny was clearly segmented and altered.

A Segment to Segment comparison lines up individual segments of a run such that each runner starts portions of the game at the same time so that it can be analyzed more closely which stages went faster for which runner and why. It is a remarkably strong way to study what does and does not work especially when different methods are being employed by the runners. This applies even if you're comparing to illegitimate footage.
