In Godot, kinematic body character controllers with gravity applied to them tend to slide down slopes they are standing on. Thankfully, there is an easy way to fix this, and in this Godot 3.1 tutorial, I'll show you how. Unfortunately, this solution only works for 3.1 and is broken in 3.2. Hopefully the developers fix this problem soon.
