This is a capture of me and a friend playing through Golden Axe III for the Sega Genesis. This was played on the Wii Virtual Console and recorded directly from my Wii (not the Wii U). I'm player one (Kain Grinder) and Drew is player two (Chronos Lait). We're playing on normal difficulty.

Here's the final game in the Golden Axe trilogy, finishing off my playthrough of the entire series. I downloaded this game only a year or two ago, a little while after Drew and I started playing Golden Axe I and II. Apparently, Golden Axe III was only released for the Sega Channel in the U.S. back in '90s, but luckily, Sega added the game to the Virtual Console.

I've seen some complaints about this game not being as good as the prior ones, but I think it's fun. Drew and I really liked all the special moves and the tandem attacks especially. The tandem attacks allowed us to beat the game for the fist time.

For some reason, the recording came through a bit dark, but I don't think it's a problem with the Hauppauge. Certain Virtual Console games (such as NES games) simply had some poor brightness settings on the Wii, but I don't recall Golden Axe I and II having this issue.

Enjoy the footage.

Recorded with the Hauppauge HD PVR and the Wii's component cables at 60 frames per second.

We're using Wii Remotes.
