Golden Axe Stage 6 strategy
2New strategy for stage 6 which saves around 4 seconds depending on how fast you can get the magic from the thieves. Was trying to find a strategy with down slashing but this one ended up not needing it.
When the thieves spawn you need to make sure the potions land far enough towards the right of the screen to allow you to reach the position I use when the screen freezes to load in the next wave of enemies. The vertical line needs to be fairly precise but the horizontal position is a bit more forgiving.
The same as my strategy for the knights in stage 7, when the screen freezes, hold jump and right so that when it unfreezes you begin jumping towards the edge of the screen.Then reverse jump slash (slash in the air then hit left within a couple of frames). Land the first down stab on the giant as far left as you can, this helps bait the longmoan in a helmet to sprint left. From here I don't use any specific queues to time the attacks it's just a case of practise. Although you want to stay as far left as possible for the downstab that connects with all three enemies to prevent the longmoan on the right from dodging.
Hope this helps, not sure if I'll put it in any runs yet as the setup is quite risky. If you don't reach the initial setup position after the thieves, or if you miss the reverse jump slash you will lose a lot of time.
