Goodboy Galaxy is a new GBA game made in 2021. This project is getting funding thrrough Kickstarter and has plans on being released as a physical GBA cart, digitally on Switch and on PC.


I got my hands on an early demo build of the game and wanted to stream it to see what type of game this is. A little more Lost Vikings than Metroid, you control a puppy that has a gun, a jet pack, and a shield. Running through barriers forces the player to lose one of those items which makes progressing challenging. Being honest here, I got frustrated with the looping level design and I couldn't figure out where to go especially since everything looks the same (although it is a nice looking and nicely animated game).
