Both of these Google 2019 flagship smartphones hit the UK on October 24, with an asking price starting from £669 for the standard version and £829 for the mega-model. They boast the latest version of Android with exclusive features including radar gestures and live transcription.
For the most part, beyond the size, the hardware is similar. You get strong performance from the speedy Snapdragon 855 chipset (backed by 6GB RAM). However, the battery is bigger on the Pixel 4 XL, offering a 3700mAh capacity cell vs the 2800mAh original. Likewise, the XL serves up a QHD+ screen, although both Google phones deliver 90Hz OLED tech.
