TRANSCRIPT (SEE COMMENTS FOR FULL):
00:00 Hey Moses, second straight game that you guys blew a 17-, 18-point lead in the second half. What would you say are some of the common threads between this game and Saturday?
00:19 MOSES MOODY: I think this game we got a little too comfortable. They stayed aggressive, picking up full, playing hard. And, yeah, I think we got a little relaxed when we went up 20.
00:29 Steve said he doesn't think that the issue is fatigue. He thinks it's execution. Do you agree with that?
00:35 Yeah, I think that was part of the time when we got â when we took our foot off the gas a little bit. We weren't executing quicker shots and then they going to get quick buckets and things change fast.
00:49 If you had to predict what you guys will be working on in practice tomorrow, what might that be?
00:54 Probably execution, going back to training camp a little bit, filling the spots. And then running the offense fluently.
01:01 When a team is missing free throws as a whole, is the simple answer legs or is there something else that might be going on?
01:13 I can't personally say for guys, but, I mean, I think it is personal to whatever it is for each guy rather than a group thing.
01:28 In that first half for you, what was working for you? What were you seeing and the physicality you were finishing with? What â how did you, I guess, develop that over the course of the off-season? What did you work on in that regard, in terms of finishing and whatnot?
01:41 Yeah, not running from contact, not trying to avoid contact. Going in and looking for it, hitting first, and then you're on balance for your finish. So even when you make contact, don't pull the ball away, just keep going to the goal.
01:54 Moses, Steve has been saying all along that this is not the Warriors of five, six, seven, eight years ago that were going to the Finals every year, that this team has a smaller margin of error. Tonight, Brooklyn got 26 points off turnovers. Is that what they're doing, or is that what you guys are doing, from what you can tell?
02:16 They did a good job bringing the energy, bringing the effort, short guys, and then just being able to play, pick up full, even when they down 20. Like, they had a really â they put on some really good pressure, but we can be a lot more stable, not take a lot of those risks that we took and just playing calm, making the easy plays, easy passes.
02:40 So when you say risk, you mean like some of the passing or â ?
02:43 Yeah, like, I threw that behind-the-back pass. It made it, kinda, but something like that. Seeing it, saying it could happen, maybe not, and just making the easy plays instead.
02:57 How do you see BP working through some of his frustration lately?
03:01 Just playing through it, whatever it may be. Just keep playing your game, that's part of the NBA. That's part of maturity. Growing up is just knowing every day is not going to be the best day. Every stretch, a couple of days, you might â shot might not fall, a couple of turnovers here and there, whatever. But keep being yourself, keep playing how you play. That's what he's been doing, I think.
03:23 You had 15 points in your first nine minutes in the second quarter, then you didn't start the second half. You might have came in like late in the third quarter. How important is rhythm, to be able to sustain how you're feeling out there for you?
03:39 That's not a luxury I've had through my career, so I've kind ofâŚ
