Today we test both a GTX 970 and GTX 1060 6GB at 4.8Tflops with different core configurations, and different clocks to see if there's a difference in performance gains with basically identical architectures.

Cooler: Deep Cool Gammaxx 400 120mm
Motherboard: MSI X370 SLI Plus
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) TEAM Night Hawk DDR4 @ 3200Mhz 16-18-18-38-2T
PSU: EVGA 600B
Case: Thermaltake Core P3

Basic Testing Methodology:
1.) All tests are run with 16x AF where available
2.) All tests are run with motion blur Disabled where available
3.) All tests are run using less than 3584MB VRAM to eliminate VRAM limitation issues.
4.) All tests are run in 100% GPU dependent conditions. At no time does GPU utilization drop below 100%.
5.) Standard background tasks running during all benchmarks. This includes Google Chrome, FRAPS/Presentmon, MSI Afterburner (with Riva Tuner Statistics Server,) Steam, Origin, and GOG Galaxy.
