In 2005, GamePlasma experimented with a Web Series called GPTV, originally intended to be a weekly 30 minute segment on the latest in the interactive entertainment industry's news, events, and happenings. This pilot run was not scripted outside of the talking points, with no more than 8 minutes per topic. Plans for future episodes would have included additional guests, phone interviews with industry experts and game developers, and cut scenes or overlays showing footage to reflect the conversation topics. Unfortunately the Web Series was cancelled after the first episode due to production costs and major changes to Google Ads which had a major impact on GamePlasma's revenue and ultimately led to its scaling down to only reporting the industry news after several years of bringing the latest and least biased news, reviews, previews, featured editorials, and event coverage of the interactive entertainment industry.
