Reliance and Meta Announce ₹855 Crore Joint Venture to Bring Llama-Based Enterprise AI Offerings to India
To develop scalable corporate solutions for AI in India, a joint venture has been established through Reliance Industries and Meta in a ₹855 crore ($100 million) deal. With the assistance of Meta's open-source Llama models and Reliance's digital backbone, the business will provide SMBs and the corporates with sector-specific solutions and affordable enterprise-level AI systems. Designed to automate processes in the IT department, sales department, finance department, and customer support department, the system will be deployable across cloud models and on-premises and hybrid models. The transaction is set to be completed in Q4 of the year 2025.

Luminous Power Technologies has launched EDGE, a new brand of smarter, portable power solutions with the EDGE GO 1500, a 1,200W portable power station that is also an entertainment centre with a in-built 90W speaker, wireless microphones and Bluetooth connectivity. EDGE products are designed for far-from-home work, home backup and outdoor adventures and are fire-resistant and solar ready. India's Live Events Boom Is Driven by Collaboration Between the Government, BookMyShow, and District
To expand India's thriving live events market, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting initiated a Joint Working Group with major players such as BookMyShow and District. The initiative would streamline clearances by centralizing live event approvals under the Indian Cine Hub Portal. The market is expanding at a record rate with the arrival of foreign festivals such as Lollapalooza into India and massive shows such as Coldplay in Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
Intel and the US Commerce Department Secure $5.7B Early from the Amended CHIPS Act Deal
The firm has become more financially free after it received $5.7 billion in cash ahead of schedule in the form of a refreshed CHIPS Act financing agreement with the US Commerce Department. The new agreement again includes restrictions on buybacks, dividends, and certain expansions. In the agreement, Intel reserved 158.7 million shares for future CHIPS funding and committed 274.6 million shares to the US government with options for other shares. Government funds for the semiconductor plans of Intel are now at $11.1 billion with over $7.8 billion already spent.
