2Dying at almost any point in this game past the beginning is extremely hard to recover from, so avoid it at all costs. Careful use of the force field is needed. Also, getting a power-up when the "?" slot is highlighted while the thousands digit is a 0 will give you rapid fire. It will last until you die or complete a loop and is very useful.
