Grammar for the Real World from Knowledge Adventure
Part 1

Welcome to Grammar for the Real World! This game takes place in a Hollywood studio.

The program uses a Hollywood film studio as the setting for its six grammar activities. After signing in, students adopt the persona of an aspiring movie producer who must fill up a resume with evidence of experience at a variety of jobs that require grammar skills. At the main screen, students select one of the five job listings from the bulletin board. After they successfully complete each job, several things happen: their resumes are updated accordingly, the advertisement disappears from the bulletin board, and they are awarded points on their "schmooze-o-meter" scoreboard. After two jobs, they have the chance to play a short arcade-like game. This sequence is repeated, with the next game coming after the fourth job. After the fifth job, students can play one round as a game show contestant, and, if they win the game, they can enter the studio and produce an animated production complete with scenery, actors, dialogue, action, and sound effects. This is the basic cycle of the game: With each iteration, the rewards are the same, but the grammar questions become increasingly difficult.
