In the early 2000's when I got my first console paid with my own money I decided to get a PSX because most of my friends had one. I decided to get it because I had a neighbor who kept talking about Resident Evil 2 so I decided to get it as well (if I remember correctly it was one of the first Games I bought).
I was still a student and it took me a full year to buy a PSX and the console came with Ape Escape (I soon gave to a friend because I didn't like the Game). Back then my sister was dating a guy who had Gran Turismo 1 and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 (he was a Skater as well), back then I didn't care about Gran Turismo at all but some time later I took my PSX to my neighbor's house to play Resident Evil 2, his older brother asked me if I had Gran Turismo 2 as well and I told him: "no, I don't" and then he started talking about some car called Suzuki Escudo Pike's Peak and how fast the car was, I started thinking.
After a while I decided to save money and went to a Gaming store and started looking for the Game, I was lucky enough because they had a few copies left. I paid and went home and started playing the Game, I called my neighbor and we spent days and nights trying to complete it and we managed to save some Credits for the very famous Suzuki Escudo. A few days later I took my PSX to his house and then his older brother asked me if he could play the Game and I said: "sure, have fun".
If I remember correctly I managed to save a lot in Game Credits to have a lot of fast cars, back then there were a few classmates who borrowed me the Game and one of them broke the case and later he said: "Oh, the case broke by itself". No, it didn't, he broke the case on purpose and now I had to get some CD cases to put my Gran Turismo 2, Resident Evil 2 and 3 and all 5 Tomb Raider Games because the cases are completely broken. I kept playing Gran Turismo Games until 2015 because it was when I got my first PS4, for Gran Turismo 5 I had the Academy Edition but I was a fool and I sold it.
In 2019 (I think?) I managed to find the other 5 Gran Turismo Games and the one I already had was Gran Turismo 2, that same year I found a webstore in my COuntry that was selling some PS2 Pre-Owned Games and consoles so I decided to buy a PS2 and some Games. I'm been trying to record some PS1 and PS2 gameplays for so long but I never did (I kept wasting money on cables, adapters and even capture devices without any luck.
Right now I'm trying to record Gran Turismo 2 with the AV2HDMI plugged into my elgato HD60 S and I think that's the best I can do. I'm recording these Gameplays directly fron my PS2 (you can it in the beginning of the Video because it has a blue Screen. If Gran Turismo Games ever get a Remaster for PC then I will record them with better quality.
