Here's another comparison for another track in GT2. Tahiti Dirt Route 3 had a major change undergone before being complete on GT2. It use to look quite a bit different from what you see in the retail GT2. The course was quite a bit thinner for starters and shorter.

More info on the builds:
The first 3 builds didn't change much in appearance other then slight quality enhancements and maybe some different advertisement boards all over the track. The early builds were in a more concealed environment compared to the much more open-looking course in the final. Another difference is that there's no jumps in the first builds. PD also originally called the course "Tahiti Safari Course".
