I don't see a lot of people talking about celestial lions, but they're extremely strong. I'd go so far as to say they're the strongest units cathay has, and a well built celestial lion stack can handle truly incredible amounts of forces. It's also extremely cost effective, being cheaper than my gunpowder based armies.

In this video I play fairly sloppy but it's not a big deal given the raw power of celestial lions. I had to be a bit cautious at the start since the enemy had final transmutation which hurts my strategy a bit, but celestial lions are so absurdly fast it just delayed things a smidge until I could snipe out the relevant hero.

Basic composition is: Alchemist for movement range and final transmutation lord/hero sniping, yang wizard for healing and the extra mass spell to pull out of blobs, an astromancer for elemental winds and a bit of damage, a moon bird for harmony bonuses, and the rest celestial lions.
