This is the second part of my two-part of my Grantham Station visit on the 24/04/2008. This part starts off with a National Express East Coast 225 set with 82205 leading pulling into Platform 1 bound for London Kings Cross via Peterborough and Stevenage with 91105 named "City Of London" at the rear of the set. Then 156406 in the freshly painted East Midlands Trains livery (at the time of filming) bound for Nottingham idles at Platform 4 while a unbranded Central Trains Class 158 numbered 158857 pulls off from Platform 3 for Skegness. I filmed it from under the canopy because it was raining quite hard and I didn't want to mess up my camera. While I was waiting for the rain to ease off, I did some close up filming of the new East Midlands Trains livery on 156406 and then filmed it depart for Nottingham. Next up a Northbound National Express East Coast 225 speeds through Platform 2 at about 110mph, followed up with an HST heading south for London Kings Cross passing through Platform 1 at speed which has a Valenta unit at the front and its a ex-MML unit going by the headlights with an MTU unit at the rear. Then a 225 also passes through Platform 2 at speed heading Northbound followed a Class 66 in Freightliner livery numbered 66535 on an Intermodal Container rake or KFA's. A southbound 225 with 82208 pulls into Platform 1 bound for London Kings Cross on a direct service. Then a South West Trains liveried Class 158 numbered 158887 on loan to East Midlands Trains departs Platform 4 for Liverpool Lime Street via Nottingham, Chesterfield, Sheffield and Manchester etc on the way. A 225 speeds through Platform 1 heading south with a 3 tone horn warning passengers on that platform to keep well back! Then a unbranded Central Trains liveried Class 158 numbered 158847 pulls into Platform 4 with a service bound for Norwich which the next stop would be Peterborough. Finally a Northbound National Express East Coast 225 speeds through Platform 2 which concludes the second and final part of the video.
