Gray Dawn Is Christian Horror Game With Lovecraftian Vibes
What kind of game is Gray Dawn?
Firstly it is one of those walking games where you interact with the environment. It is deep with Christian themes, but more specifically, Greek Orthodox when it comes to the Icons you discover throughout the game & that makes sense since the studio is Romanian.
It is also a rapidly unraveling murder mystery with Horror & Lovecraftian themes.
This is what I got out of the 1st hour of Gray Dawn.
The story is very well told & acted & the visuals are a knock out. The 1st hour is very much Christmas themed with some very dark undertones as we discover there is a missing boy.
I don't think this is going to be an actual Christian game, but more of the protagonist we control is an Evil priest that is involved with the disappearance/death of the boy. I don't have a problem with that, as long as they don't try to paint Christianity as the source of Evil. We'll see.
I did enjoy the 1st hour of the game & I'll play some more.
