GRID Autosport for Switch (Docked, 60FPS Performance mode)
GRID is my favorite racing game on Switch at the moment. This video is just a couple of single races with the replays included to demonstrate the quality of the Switch version. In hindsight, it might have been a better idea to run the second race (Chicago Loop) in Quality Mode (30FPS) because GRID struggles to hold 60FPS in a lot of areas, even when docked.
The Microsoft Elite controller was used to play GRID on Switch specifically for the analog triggers that allow for pressure sensitive acceleration and braking. But for the ideal experience, it's a good idea to use a steering wheel when playing docked, if one is available to you as analog sticks simply aren't great for accurate steering in racing games like GRID. Gyro steering is supported in game but from my experience, it wasn't very good because gyro sensitivity can't be adjusted. Gyro steering is either "on" or "off." Bummer, feels like a total missed opportunity there.
Still, GRID is fun as the tracks are very technical with car designs based on real life car models, a good selection of options to tinker with the cars, AI can be tough when played on the higher difficulties and the game has very slick presentation. Recommended.
