I wanted to make a small compilation of my fastest times in the game Grocket. I was kind of thinking of narrating what's going on while playing to actually make a strategy guide, but I'm not much of a fan of my own voice so i decided to scrap that and just show each level at half speed with my keyboard controls on screen. At the time of uploading, these times are the #1 times on their respective levels, but that's not to say they can't be improved upon. I'm know they can be improved. It's just to show what strategies i used to achieve these times. If you do want an verbal explanation about the strategies, just leave a comment and i may make a follow up video for this set of levels.

The game has had a few updates that have made the game much better for aiming for fast times. There are still a few small bugs, but since it's being developed by a few high school grads i can't get too worked up about it. I'll just keep reporting issues that i find. I'm looking forward to future updates and the online mode that's still grayed out.

Now for a few tips:
- The color around your minimap is directly related to your speed. Red = touch anything and you explode. Yellow = fast enough to land safely with your thrusters. Green = completely safe at low speed, but can still explode touching walls.
- Holding a rotation/spin button will increase your rotation to a certain point. It is one reason why i do some flips on some of the levels. It does add some style points, but it helps with maneuvering as well.
- However fast you go, you will need to slow down. Especially important in levels where you have to go left and right a long distance (level 9) or up and down. It's the other reason why i do flips. To start moving downward a little quicker than to let gravity pull me down.
- Try to land perfectly flat or with a slight lean in the direction you are moving (left or right). If I'm moving right to land on the platform (such as level 1), i want to land with a slight lean to the right or perfectly flat. This will help prevent any skipping that happens when landing. It can also be the hardest part of these extremely quick times. I've had probably hundreds of runs killed because of a bad landing. Perfect landings are very difficult to align, but the slight lean is much easier and don't require much more time when landing. The trickiest type of landing if from an angle that's at an angle such as level 5. You have to slow down, but still try to land well or you will skip. There isn't much of a good tip for these approaches.
- As i mentioned above, green speed on the minimap will allow you to touch any part of your ship to any surface. This helps with making shortcuts much easier to perform. The only issue is rotating seems to also be calculated in the speed and can build up until it's too fast even when you think you aren't moving too fast. I tend to release the left or right rotate buttons just for a fraction of a second so that the rotation speed doesn't build up too much.
