In this video you can see the first part of the Grounded gameplay played on Xbox One, the new Obsidian Entertainment game released in early access on PC and Xbox One.
Grounded is the new game published by Obsidian Obsidian Entertainment (Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds), as we can see from the grounded gameplay walkthrough part 1 the story of the game revolves around a group of somewhat unfortunate teenagers, who fell victim to an experiment that he reduced them to the size of an insect. Therefore, the garden of an ordinary house turns into a veritable unfathomable jungle, in which every blade of grass is as big as a tree, and where the latter appears imposing like a skyscraper.
As you can see from the grounded gameplay part 1 no commentary the early access version of the game does not show any cutscene for the moment and throws us directly into the action after choosing one of the 4 protagonists. The 4 protagonists: Max, Willow, Pete and Hoops do not show particular differences regarding the gameplay, the only difference between the characters is the are the dialogues, which are different depending on the selected alter ego.
The game's HUD is already the final one and shows on the screen some of the classic indicators in this game genre, namely health, hunger, thirst and of course the list of objectives and objects available to us.
The real protagonist of the game is obviously its scenario, since the body of the characters has been reduced in height even the smallest insects can seem huge and dangerous. In this first grounded gameplay walkthrough you can see how the game world is really well-kept and full of pitfalls, ants for example are peaceful if not attacked while the greatest dangers certainly come from spiders that are able to end up with some simple attacks.
The progression of Grounded, in addition to the objectives to bring the four boys back to their usual size, is mainly marked by the collection of materials and the construction of tools and structures: Obisidan has masterfully exploited the setting, and each object uses imaginatively leaves , resin and other natural elements.
