16,159I'll admit, the first time I heard grunge I just didn't get it. I hadn't connected the tortured emotional drive throughout the vocals until my second or third attempt. However, upon hearing Eddie Vedder's vocals for the first time in Temple of the Dog's "Hunger Strike" then again in Pearl Jam, I knew my mind was starting to change!
