The first time I ever drove this car was playing Gran Turismo PSP....wait...hold on....it was actually Midnight Club Los Angeles, but you get the idea. Being a longtime fan of the Chevrolet Corvette since 2003, I was absolutely STOKED seeing this thing for the first time reading Motortrend and Car and Driver magazines in the library after school way back in 2007. And then they brought out the '09 ZR1, which would go on to make an absolute statement around Nordschleife. Nissan would immediately respond to the 2007 ZR1, and so the rivalry would begin between Chevy and Nissan...the mission, to outdo one another in building the most dominant street legal production car....something that could challenge the likes of Porsche and Ferrari, and maybe even Lamborghini on a bad day. GTPSP would make this rivalry between two auto manufacturers their theme, and they would go on to produce one of the most cinematically compelling video game intros of all time, and on a PSP, no less(the game is 60fps, but the intro movie is 30fps. No worries. I shall remaster it in the future once I fix up Kit).

The Nissan GTR is not in this video, but a widebody project of the S14, one of my favorite JDM's of all time, makes an appearance. I also haven't widebody'd an S14 since Midnight Club Los Angeles, so I was pretty excited seeing how the end result would turn out. It is an absolute beaut.
